  • July 1, 1847-  First adhesive stamp was issued by the U.S. Post Office
  • July 2, 1986- "Under the Cherry Moon" Prince's second movie was released
  • July 3, 1608-  The city of Quebec was founded by Samuel de Champlain
  • July 4, 1776- John Hancock signed and approved the amended Declaration of Independce prepared by Thomas Jefferson.
  • July 5, 1946-  The bikini bathing suit created by Reard made its debut in a fashion show in Paris.
